I've noticed that some blogs use their Friday as a recap of the week, kind of like Friday Love, but with words. I thought I'd give it a try this week!
We went to Arkansas to visit my family and my Mom took me to a new coffee shop in the town where they live. It was awesome and their coffee was delicious. As were their chocolate croissants. :)
My parents are getting two doberman puppies at the end of the month and they took us to meet them (and their many siblings!). So cute!
Monday:
I schlepped the kids around town to look at appliances. Our appliances were negotiated in the sale of our home, so we've been on the prowl for some new ones. This is just a random picture of water faucets, the only picture I could get whilst rushing through the aisles of Lowe's. :)
Tuesday:
My Little Pear at Home Depot for some price comparison. Most places were having spring sales that were ending in March, so we needed to make our decision before the beginning of April. (In the end, we found what we wanted here for the best prices [meaning, hundreds lower than the bigger stores] and I very highly recommend them! We were able to order everything and we don't pay until closing, in case anything falls through.)
Wednesday:
The kids were TIRED from the week. Every day we were running around and every night we attended the Missions Conference at our church--needless to say, between a crazy weekend and a crazy first few days of the week, the kids were exhausted. We try to not be on the go that much, so we can keep sickness at bay. Thankfully, Wednesday was a day at home. During Naomi's morning nap, I tucked Cub into my bed and he watched the new Veggie Tale's Easter movie on our Apple TV instant queue.
Later that day, Miss Erin and little Emery came over for a visit. It was so fun to see the girls crawl around together (while Cub scurried around protecting his toys)!
Thursday:
Naomi is officially pulling up on everything she sees and cruising like a crazy lady! She made her way into the bathroom during Cub's bath time. Time is going by way too quickly.

I love the short but still so brightly colored word pictures of each day and the faded Polaroid that goes along with each -- creative and super unique. It totally works.

ReplyDeleteI've noticed that if I don't e-mail myself a daily picture, I never remember what event went with what day! It's crazy how a simple week can hold so much and make you forget.... which is exactly why the photo recaps are a great idea. Yay for doing it, too!
