Week In Pictures.

It was a crazy weekend and the week is looking even crazier, so I decided it would be fun (while I have a few minutes to myself) to give you a brief update. Firstly,

On Saturday morning, I met up with two of my oldest and dearest friends for coffee. Naomi was very happy to see her aunties. Then after coffee ....

...we headed to a super-cute show called the Indie Emporium, where my friend on the left was hosting a booth. I found these adorable clips (and feathery headband!) for Naomi there and it was just all kinds of fun. After the show, I loaded up Naomi and headed back to town, where I glued on fake eyelashes for the first time ...

... so I could somewhat resemble Ivana Trump for a Halloween party that night. Please note the array of toys. Un-Trump-like. We were the oldest cats at the party and of course were done by 9:30pm, so we came home and crashed and then on Sunday ...

... my brother-in-law got engaged to this lovely lady, Jenny! Yay! We hosted a surprise engagement party. I'm thrilled for them. Love her. Then we crashed that night and the next day ...

...I drove to my parents' house in Arkansas and stayed the night, so today I could ...

...take my Dad to his favorite restaurant, The Wooden Spoon. It is a quaint little restaurant run by Holdeman Mennonites. Meaning: GOOD FOOD. This is my Dad with a large mountain of bread pudding. I am holding the other spoon. :) Every birthday is special, but Dad's are especially poignant to me, and I'm thankful I was able to come celebrate with him.

And now ... I'm still here while the kids nap, and then we're loading up and heading home and gearing up for another busy weekend, starting Thursday. Phew! Let the holiday rush begin.

A weekend (and a weekday) filled with people I love. I most certainly have much to be thankful for.

Have a lovely day!
